PRODUCTION EXPERTISE

The story your creator partnership is missing.

I bring broadcast documentary craft - story development, contributor welfare, editorial architecture - into the creator economy. For brands who want content that audiences actually believe.

For creators who deserve to have their story told properly.

creative + strategic + operational leadership

Selected Experience: Bridging Worlds

From traditional advertising to social-first storytelling

At AMV BBDO, I built and led a social-first content and editorial function within one of the UK’s leading agencies. This involved rethinking how brands show up in culture, creating new operating models for content production, and leading international teams to deliver high-volume, high-quality creative work that felt both strategic and culturally relevant.

From production company to creator economy

Working across Untold Fable and AnalogFolk, I helped bridge the gap between traditional production and emerging digital ecosystems. This included developing content approaches that combined cinematic craft with platform-native storytelling, enabling brands to show up more authentically in a rapidly evolving media landscape.

Building an in-house content studio from the ground up

At Livity, I played a key role in creating and shaping their first content studio. This meant developing the creative and operational foundations for a new offering, bringing together strategy, storytelling and production to deliver work that resonated with youth audiences.

From independent documentary to broadcast impact

With Saving Mum: Our Family Secret for Channel 4, I brought a deeply personal, independently developed feature documentary into the factual television space. This required navigating the intersection of authorship, editorial frameworks and institutional expectations, while maintaining the integrity and emotional truth of the story.

THE PROBLEM

Brands have the creators.

They don't have the producer.

The creator economy in 2026 is flooded with personal stories being turned into brand content by people who've never run a documentary pre-production, managed a contributor through an emotionally difficult shoot, or shaped a narrative arc for a commissioning editor. The result is content that looks authentic but doesn't feel it and audiences notice immediately.

I made Saving Mum for Channel 4 - a film about my own difficult relationship with my mother. I know what it takes to find a true story, protect the person at the centre of it, and deliver something that moves an audience. That skill set is now available to brands and creators operating at the intersection of storytelling and commerce.

"Audiences don't want polished. They want real. The gap between those two things is a producer's job to close." - Maleena Pone

THE SOLUTION

I know how to find the story inside a creator's life that audiences will actually believe and I know how to protect both the creator and the brand while telling it.

  • A half-day editorial development session with your creator before any brief is written. I find the real story - the tension, the truth, the "why now" - that makes everything downstream feel earned.

  • Building recurring content with genuine narrative momentum - episode logic, character development across posts, emotional beats that compound over weeks. Applied to TikTok, YouTube, and Live formats.

  • Broadcast instincts applied to TikTok Live and YouTube Live: running order, pacing, keeping creators emotionally present under commercial pressure. The difference between a live that converts and one that collapses.

  • Creators are being asked to share personal stories by brands with no framework for what that costs. I advise on what to share, how to debrief, and when to pull back - protecting both creator and brand.

  • Identifying creators with genuine story potential - not just reach - and developing their editorial identity before they go near a brief. A documentary eye applied to talent selection.

  • Ongoing EP-level oversight on creator programmes - sitting between the brand and the creator as an editorially independent voice, ensuring the story stays true while the brief gets delivered.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Brands

Running creator programmes and finding the content looks sponsored even when it isn't. You need someone who can close the gap between what the creator wants to say and what your audience needs to feel.

Production companies

Being asked to produce creator-first or brand-funded content without the internal editorial framework to do it at broadcast standard. I work alongside your team as an EP or series producer.

Creator-led brands

You have an audience, a product, and a story - but no one helping you shape it with the craft it deserves. I work directly with founders and creators to find and tell the story that builds long-term trust.
